Fascinating. And more than that, meaningful. I've been thinking a lot about how we never arrive in this life- I think I just used to think about things a lot more in terms of how can I maintain such and such a level of spirituality? So that I can feel good about checking that off my list in a sense. But more and more I'm seeing that it is so much more than that. It's submitting my whole self to his will everyday. It's just a different way of thinking about "enduring to the end". This post made me think about that because purification and sanctification, as the imagery suggests is so much more than maintaining a status quo, it's going through the Refiner's fire while trusting the Refiner. Every day, and every moment at a time.
